In honor of the lives that were lost to bullying, I am taking part of Spirit Day. In addition to wearing purple, I will be taking a moment of silence. I will take six minutes, one minute for each of the lives lost in the past few months, to think about their pain. I will think about how it must have felt to be in their shoes. To be called those names. To be physically attacked. To feel as if there was no way out but suicide. Think about what was going through their minds before they ended it all. They believed that they were better off dead than being perceived as gay, or people knowing that they were gay.

If you agree to do the same, please repost this to your journal. Spread the message of love.

Stop the bullying. End the hate.

"1 out of every 10 people are born Gay. That means 1 of every 10 people are instantly put down, given bad labels, left alone, put in a minority and so much more, all for something they didn't ask for. Gay teens are turning to suicide as a way of escaping. If you want to tell them that life will get better, & you respect them for who they are, copy & paste this. Most of you won't, but let's see the 5% of you who will."

Rest in Peace, Matthew Shepard (December 1, 1976 – October 12, 1998).

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

RIP Justin Aaberg, Raymond Chase (middle)
RIP Asher Brown and Billy Lucas. (bottom)

REBLOG to spread a message of love, unity and peace.

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, post this sentence in your journal.

I love you all, you are the greatest friends. ♥

I want to thank the person who gifted me with a 2 month paid account here - it was such a wonderful surprise getting home and seeing it. I have no clue who it was (either it was an annonymus gift or I just have no clue how to see who it was), but seriously, whoever it was, it is very much appreciated. Thank you so much!!!

This is actually the first time I got anything like this and I'm really so, so thankful. ♥

This is a post dedicated to my two amazing friends,

foreverbm and

lyrical_tragedy who were super patient with me and all my wishes, requests and changes through the time they were working on making my layout and profile look absolutely and stunnignly beautiful.

foreverbm
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me super excited through the whole time you were working on my layout and profile. You were extremely patient and you didn't mind all the changes I wanted you to make.
You never complained once, even though there were times that I thought I was driving you insane with my requests.
In the end, you made the most perfect layout for me, with a beautiful header I'm in love with, the gifs on the sidebar... and I have all my boys with me. You also made my profile look beautiful and I can't stop staring at those wallpapers and colorbars you made for me.

You're the best. I love you. ♥

lyrical_tragedy
Honey,
at first you had doubts about making the banners/colorbars for me because you didn't know if you'd be able to do it, but in the end, when I go to my profile and look at them, I have no idea how could you have doubted yourself because they're wonderful.
Thank you for being patient with all my requests and for making all the changes I wanted.
Just like Viv, you never complained about anything, even though I thought I was driving you insane.

Thank you for everything. I love you baby. ♥

This post is dedicated to all of you amazing people who sent me messages, left comments on Facebook, sent me e-mails and e-cards and made special birthday posts for me. You've made my day and made my 24th the best birthday ever!

I love you all and I want you to know that all your wishes and friendships are very much appreciated and mean the world to me.

I seriously have the best friends in the world. ♥

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Since LJ is changing things and I don't like some of them, like linking things to Facebook or Twitter, I have my Facebook page pretty much tightly secured from strangers entering, LJ is pretty much friends only orientated because I mostly post about myself and my private life, I ask and beg all of you; please do not allow your comments or anything related to my posts here or in any of the communities I belong to or moderate to be linked to Facebook or Twitter. I don't really want those things to collide – I love my Facebook and Twitter, but also, I want to keep those two totally separated from my posts here on LJ.

Thank you all!

I just adore this version of Somewhere over the rainbow. Kris is ♥.

I absolutely love, love, LOVE this version of To make you feel my love by Kris Allen. ♥ It's beautiful, and his voice is wonderful. I can't stop listening to it...

50 gay/bi men that women find hot.

The list is under the cut, so take a look and let me know what you think... I'm curious to know. :)

Ummmm... I got a question.

I'm in the process of changing my layout, and the wonderful Viv, aka foreverbm is going to do it for me. Well, we have most of the things sorted out, but what I'm missing are some .gifs from the movie Brokeback mountain, specifically, Ennis&Jack (the happy times – the second night in the tent or the reunion kiss).

If you know where I could find some of those, I'd be very grateful for the point in the right direction.

Thanks everyone in advance!!

Hey f-list!

Just recently, my friend Julie, a.k.a. lyrical_tragedy created her graphics community tragedy_graphix where she's posting her icons and other graphics she'll be making in Photoshop.

So far, there are only a few entries there, but the icons are great in my opinion. Go check them out and join the community if you like them! I'm sure she'll appreciate your support.
